There is a mis-belief that this world started bad and will end up good. "As we evolve," they say, "Our technology and global community experience will usher in a season of peace."
The Bible doesn't say that. It says we started good and we will end up bad. The planet is powered by Satan and he isn't stopping until the last day.
The good news is Jesus entered into our world. He penetrated the barrier of heaven with the sword of the cross. Ever since then heaven has been leaking through the spiritual fabric of our world - not that the designs of the enemy would be derailed per se, and not that we would begin the slow the thing down and eventually turn this place into Utopia. But that his peace, healing, encouragement, hope, purity, and power would be a balming agent in the midst of our distress. Through the Spirit Jesus greases the wheels of our experience so that even in the hardest of situations we can be assured of resurrection, his design of purpose within the hardship, and his presence as we invoke his power in prayer.
